4:00 - 5:30 Hospital Peer Support
Our peer support group meeting is held every monday from 4-5:30 pm in the l-C Day Room for patients with acute SCI and their families. The group is facilitated by a team of peers with spinal cord injury and a psychologist. Former patients offer support and share their experiences and information. Individual meetings with peers can be arranged. Topics include coping with disability, attendant care issues, understanding autonomic dysreflexia, adjustment to SCI, preparing to go home, returning to work/school, relationships, recrational activities, driving, sexuality, bowel & bladder, raising children, travel and social activities.
